Our champagne and kombucha cocktail is an easy way to add some fermented fun to your next celebration!
New Years Eve is my favorite night of the entire year. Everyone is in a celebratory mood and it’s just fun to reflect on the year that was. It’s also a night for looking forward to everything you hope the new year brings.
Champagne also happens to be one of my favorite alcoholic drinks and it’s generally served at any and every party on this one night a year. It’s a win-win for me!
Since 2016 brought The Wild Gut to fruition, I feel it is only appropriate to include some sort of ferment in my NYE plans this year.
Enter a champagne kombucha cocktail. Two of my favorite things in one pretty drink!
I’m really enjoying using kombucha in cocktails because it’s a fun way to add different flavor profiles without adding any additional alcohol. I generally have a two drink limit these days but using kombucha lets me drink a couple more without regretting it the next morning. Not because of the health benefits of kombucha, but simply because it cuts the amount of alcohol in my drinks.
For our champagne kombucha cocktail, you’ll need:
- Prosecco
- Kombucha {we used unflavored for this recipe but you could use flavored as well: ginger, any sort of berry or even our cranberry spice kombucha are good options}
- Rosemary sprigs
- Cranberries
The best part is you can put these cocktails together quickly and be ready for the ball drop in two minutes flat.
Simply mix one part Prosecco to two parts kombucha. Garnish with fresh cranberries and a sprig of rosemary.
It’s that easy!
